Egg inflation

It just occurred to me that when I looked up old egg price data a little while ago, I never adjusted the prices for inflation.

And, oh my, I should have.

In 1917 and 1918 (during WWI) retail prices for a dozen eggs were from $0.40 – $0.90

Adjusted for inflation, thst comes out to $7.75 to $14.93 a dozen!!
